Think I will "blog" the COE project!
Spent last evening checking the bibliography and I seem to have most of the texts listed. Plan to spend this week looking at some of them for "part one." This consists of writing out the meaning of various weaving terms. This sounds like a no-brainer to anybody who has been weaving for a while, but, still, it's nice to "lay it out," as it were.
SOOO, I am going to be looking over some of my basic textiles books, including the "historical" ones, just for the heck of it.
I thought a nice "side-bar" would be to acquaint myself with the French and Swedish terms. I have this great pictorial French dictionary. It was written for people who need specialised terms, and covers a lot of industries and crafts, including weaving. I also have a Swedish-English dictionary...very useful for those old issues of "Väv" before they started offering the English versions.
